šŸ“Fukuoka, Japan! What an underrated gem! It has th šŸ“Fukuoka, Japan! What an underrated gem! It has the perfect blend of city and beach and would be a great entry point into Japan! Spent 3 days here and thought about this place a lot through my time in Japan.

Came here during cherry blossom season and it didn’t disappoint! We got to experience the beautiful blossoms without the insane crowd like Kyoto.

Next time I want to spend more time in Kyushu Island and minimize even more time in Tokyo. A day trip to Itoshima and Dazaifu is so simple to escape the ā€œbusyā€ city.

Are you thinking of visiting Fukuoka? Check out my latest blog post for more details!

Looking for a low key family beach vacation that d Looking for a low key family beach vacation that doesn’t take too long to get to? We spent a week in BucerĆas Mexico with our family to relax and recharge. It’s close to Puerto Vallarta (30 min drive) with great beaches and restaurants. Not to mention, it’s still relatively affordable for a family vacation! It’s also 30 min from Sayulita and 35 min from San Pancho making it an easy day trip to explore these beautiful towns. You can walk the beach from Sayulita to get to San Pancho and stop by our favorite beach of the trip: Playa Las Cuevas

Don’t be surprised if you see a lot of maple leaf flags or cars with Canadian license plates! It’s a popular winter destination for Canadians šŸ

Have some cash on you as some restaurants are cash only! There were a few that had their own CAD & USD exchange rates if you run out, but those rates are gonna be a bit worse than if you went to an atm.

More details to come on our upcoming blog post!

Palermo is a must visit when you’re in Sicily, a capital filled with its rich history waiting for you to explore. We loved our 2 day stay here where we didn’t feel the need to pack our itinerary. Instead, we picked a few things to do and went around trying different food and drinks in between the activities.

Here’s our recommendation for must activities during your stay in Palermo:

1. Street food! Palermo has so much food to offer, you have to go to at least 1 market and try the food available! Overwhelmed at the thought? Then book a food tour! You get a mix eating the food while learning it’s history.

2. Visit the Cathedral! The building is absolutely breath taking both inside and outside. We recommend you visit closer to sunset to miss the morning/afternoon crowd and get to see sunset over PalermošŸ’•

3. Anti Mafia Tour! The mafia is still very present in Sicily, especially in Palermo. However, there’s been a growing movement to resist the mafia and its extortion payment requests. There’s a 3 hour tour to learn about its history & how the movement is working towards making a difference!

Want to learn some more must stops & tips? Head over to the blog to read our Palermo post to help you figure out your itinerary!

Been spending the last few weeks going through our Been spending the last few weeks going through our italian summer vacation to detail all the travel trips for those looking to visit next summer!

We just shared our Palermo tips and will be sharing a detailed post on Scopello & Zingaro Nature Reserve this week! Be sure to check out the blog (capturedbyanguyen.com) for our tipsšŸ’•

One of the highlights was stopping at Scopello for 2 days which allowed us to spend a whole day hiking through the Zingaro Nature Reserve for beaches! Make sure you get there early to snag a free parking spot! There is no food or water there so make sure you pack well! The last thing you’d want to do is have to leave early because you didn’t pack enough water or food.

We are a couple that loves to travel, trying to find the balance between city and ocean adventures! We wanted to share our travel tips and things we’ve learned during these trips, things we wished we knew before our trip.

Sometimes we need to embark on our own journeys and will share those as well. We’re currently working to share all our learnings from our southern Italy vacation this past summer, especially driving in Sicily so please bear with us while we work to get things sortedšŸ¤—
